Religion is any system of faith and worship.
Religion introduces a social and moral structure to exalt and glorify GOD. Religion is not a bad thing like most have come to believe. Religion leads Individuals to GOD. It is Satan and man that has introduced the evil within religion. Mankind has introduced many fallacies within religion due to their frustration, impatience, and feigned faith. Satan simply does not want Mankind to know or love GOD. Satan's agenda is to destroy all vehicles/paths that lead to GOD.
Religion is the way in which Wayward Planetary Individuals do seek to regain their lost Heavenly statue unto GOD.
It became the only way to interpret whom GOD is by Wayward Planetary Individuals due to sin which broke the personal relationship with GOD.
Wayward Planetary Individuals of Earth cannot blame religion for the woes of the world when far more non-religious matters, understandings, wars, and negative influences in Earth’s past have sought after to undertake, or cause far more misery, death, destruction, and negative things to take place.
Religious teaching and endeavors before GOD's Physical introduction of Himself (Jesus Christ) upon the Planet helped to some degree keep a check upon sin and its wickedness on the Planet.
Those religious teaching and endeavors helped to some extent allow the social and moral attitudes of the communities upon this Planet to become more readily directed by and towards Heavenly mannerisms.
Those religious teaching and endeavors allowed various communities upon the Planet to have avenues that would at least demonstrate to some extent the reality of GODliness.
GOD did simply use those other religious teaching and endeavors to help keep to some degree a check upon sin and its wickedness.

Satan and his Fallen Angels don't want Wayward Individuals to know of or gain Eternal Living Life, something they can never have again.

8. Christianity gives Wayward Planetary Individuals power against them (Fallen Angels).
