Humility - A disposition to be humble; a
lack of false pride. Meekness or modesty in
behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant
or prideful. Low in rank, quality, or station;
unpretentious or lowly.

Proverbs 22:4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.

Proverbs 16:19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Proverbs 29:23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

Matthew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, GOD resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the LORD, and he shall lift you up.

I Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for GOD resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

I Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of GOD, that he may exalt you in due time:

          Pride
- Arrogant or disdainful conduct or
             treatment; haughtiness. An excessively high
             opinion of oneself;
conceit.

Psalm 73:6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

Proverbs 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

Proverbs 13:10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 29:23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

I Timothy 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

I John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

        Christian hearts should never become angered, nor should
        they feel insulted when individuals do not believe, agree,
        or trust what the LORD has shown/given them.

I Corinthians 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but GOD that giveth the increase.
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

        Should partakers of the divine nature become so puffed
        up with pride that they lose sight of who they are and
        where they have come from? GOD forbid!!!!

        Don't think you have pride? We all have pride. Pride comes
        in many forms and waits to take hold. Pride likes to be
        the controller. Pride does remove GOD from the drivers seat
        and says 'I' can do better!!!

        PRIDE is a great self-deceiver that can hinder one's
        mission in CHRIST.
        The Godly mission is never about 'self', nor will it ever
        be about 'self'!

II Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
3: 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of GOD;

        'New Age' and 'Universalism' is a false teaching
        that offers false hope. Leading individuals to rely
        and focus on 'self'. Having no need for GOD's help!

Pride is a heavy burden
Pride can destroy ones relationship with GOD
Pride always points to 'self' (I, me, mine). Humility always points to GOD!
